Accessibility The conference venue is fully accessible. Some of the pre-reserved hotels have accessible rooms. For more information see the registration form. Accommodation Rooms have been pre-reserved at Grand Hotel Reykjavík for NNDR conference guests. Rooms have also been pre-reserved at a range of other hotels and guesthouses. The hotels and guesthouses are near the city center and close by is an outdoor geothermal swimming pool, green areas, gardens and jogging paths. Please book hotels on the registration form. There are many conferences in Iceland at this time of year. It is therefore advisable to book flights and hotels well in advance. Arriving in Iceland International flights arrive at Keflavik Airport. The Fly Bus leaves from just outside the Keflavik airport terminal's doors. It leaves 25 minutes after landing and goes to all the major hotels in Reykjavík, including Grand Hotel Reykjavík. Remember to state which hotel you are going to when you purchase tickets. The trip takes 1 hour. Price: 900 IKR. Credit cards accepted, as well as all major foreign currencies (including nordic currencies). Iceland Travel www.icelandtravel.is Social Program The Reykjavík City Hall is hosting a reception for conference participants Thursday night. The drive to the Blue Lagoon on Friday takes about 30 minutes. We will bathe in the unique mineral rich geothermal seawater of the Lagoon and be served cocktail in the Lagoon. Afterwards, dinner will be served in the Blue Lagoon restaurant. The conference banquet dinner at Grand Hotel on Saturday night is not included in the conference fee. Accompanying persons Accompanying persons are welcome to take part in the social program. Fee per person is 4.800 IKR. Included in the fee is the reception at Reykjavik City Hall and the trip to the Blue Lagoon (bus, entrance fee, coctail and dinner at the Blue Lagoon). The conference banquet dinner on Saturday night is not included in this fee. |
